HelloFresh under pressure after S&P downgrade to junk status and analyst cut

HelloFresh shares fell about four to five percent after several negative analyst comments and an S&P downgrade of its credit rating to junk. S&P cited high indebtedness: €750 million in long-term and €830 million in short-term liabilities on a balance sheet of €2.2 billion. In addition, Stifel cut its rating from Hold to Sell and lowered the price target from €4.20 to €3.50, signalling further downside. Hellofresh stock falls after UBS downgrade amid question marks over profitability

UBS removed its buy recommendation for Hellofresh, after which the share fell about 3.4% to €4.17 and has lost almost a third so far in 2026. The bank criticizes that Hellofresh has not adequately explained why meal-kit sales should not pick up year-on-year and sees doubts about sustainable profitability in the prepared-meal business.
