Horizon Technology Finance closed its merger with Monroe Capital and formed the RoHo joint venture with ROTH Capital to finance small and micro-cap public companies. Assets rose to $696 million with $120 million of life-science originations in Q1, a debt portfolio yield of about 15.2%, net investment income of $0.19 per share and NAV of $6.98. The company has $105 million of available liquidity, net leverage of 1.13-to-1 and a committed backlog of $180 million, and plans a $10 million share repurchase. Horizon Technology Finance has completed its merger with Monroe Capital and will continue as the surviving company. On a pro forma basis the combined company has net assets of approximately USD 471.7 million and about USD 141.1 million in cash, which will be used partly to repay liabilities and for new investments. Horizon issued 20,370,693 new common shares; former MRCC shareholders hold 29.86% and Horizon shareholders 70.14% of the merged company.
