Impact Coatings raises gross margin to 62% and reduces operating loss
Impact Coatings increased gross margin in the second quarter to 62% (prior year 48%) thanks to a better product mix and lower costs; the operating loss fell to SEK 13.0m. Net sales were SEK 9.7m (total revenue SEK 10.5m), below the prior year; the coating services business more than doubled to SEK 9.1m. Order intake amounted to SEK 39m, and 11 new paying customers were acquired, including three in the solid oxide fuel cell segment. Impact Coatings reports Q3 net sales fell to SEK 13.7m (prior year SEK 31.7m) and an operating loss of SEK 12.1m (prior year loss SEK 6.5m).
