Kapsch TrafficCom agrees with lenders on restructuring framework
Kapsch TrafficCom has reached a standstill agreement and a binding memorandum with its main financial creditors as the basis for a comprehensive restructuring through March 31, 2028. Ongoing principal repayments will be suspended until March 31, 2028 and financing terms will be tightened; the company commits to cash sweeps, forgoing dividend distributions and restructuring‑standard preconditions. Kapsch TrafficCom has signed an agreement to sell a majority of its shares in its German subsidiary tolltickets GmbH. The closing is subject to suspensive conditions, including regulatory approvals, and is expected to be completed by year-end. Upon closing and deconsolidation, the company expects a one‑off positive effect on consolidated operating profit (EBIT) of around EUR 10 million; the purchase price will be due at closing. Kapsch TrafficCom implements low-emission zone in Castellón de la Plana
Kapsch TrafficCom has delivered an integrated system to introduce a low-emission zone in Castellón de la Plana, including 45 automatic number plate recognition cameras, six car park cameras, 24 environmental and noise sensors and central control software. The €1.52 million project started at the end of 2022 and is fully integrated into the city's traffic management and the Kapsch EcoTrafiX system. In addition, 22 fixed and variable traffic signs and an app for managing access permissions were implemented; the measure is intended to improve air quality, noise and traffic flow and serves as a reference for other European cities. » More on finanzen.net
