KMD Brands boosts revenue, plans NZ$65m equity raise to strengthen balance sheet
KMD Brands reports group revenue of $505m (+7.3%) and adjusted EBITDA of $11.5m for the first half, but recorded a statutory net loss of $13.1m. The company says it has made progress on its "Next Level" transformation strategy and has exceeded cost‑reduction targets, with expected savings of $27.5m for 2026. To reduce high debt, KMD proposes a fully underwritten equity raising of NZ$65m (rights issue at $0.18 per share) plus refinancing, which would reduce pro forma net debt to $32m and leverage to 1.3x. Management is targeting mid‑term margin improvements and leverage below 0.5x by the end of FY2027. » More on de.investing.com
