CSX under pressure: Ancora demands formal review of merger options
Ancora Holdings Group, in a letter to the CSX board, urges the immediate hiring of an investment bank to review merger possibilities following the announced Union Pacific–Norfolk Southern deal. Ancora criticizes CEO Joe Hinrichs for operational weaknesses, proposes talks with BNSF and Canadian Pacific Kansas City, and threatens a proxy contest if no strategic response is made.
