Kingspan buys data-centre specialist BMC for up to €900 million
Kingspan has announced the acquisition of BMC Manufacturing, a developer and manufacturer of critical power systems for data centres, for up to €900 million. The initial payment is €850 million (€600 million in cash, €250 million in new shares), plus up to €50 million in performance-based payments. BMC expects €280 million in revenue and €90 million in EBITDA for the current year, which Kingspan says should double by 2027. Kingspan acquires BMC Manufacturing for up to €900m
Kingspan is buying the BMC Manufacturing Group for an initial payment of €850 million on a debt- and cash-free basis, plus possible deferred consideration of up to €50 million if certain profit targets are met. The consideration comprises €600 million in cash, financed from existing credit facilities, and the issuance of new shares worth €250 million. BMC, a maker of low-voltage switchgear for data centres, expects 2026 revenue of around €280 million and EBITDA of about €90 million; an EBITDA of roughly €180 million is forecast for 2027 (under 5x EV/EBITDA for 2027). Kingspan raises 2026 forecast — shares jump 12% after strong H1 numbers
For H1 2026 Kingspan reported revenue of €4.86bn (+8%), EBITDA of €626m (+9%) and operating profit of €487.2m (+10%). The company raised its full-year operating profit forecast to €1.125bn and expects revenue to be well above €10bn; the margin is projected at about 11% for the year and around 12% in H2.
