Heidelberg Materials is buying a 70% stake in the family-owned Peruvian cement producer Cementos Inka, which operates two grinding plants with an annual capacity of 1.3 million tonnes and two ready-mix plants. The transaction is being valued at six times the expected EBITDA for the current year; the purchase price was not disclosed. Heidelberg Materials expects positive contributions to all financial metrics from the first year after closing due to the low capital requirement.
