Kodiak Copper signs LoI with Teck to spin Mohave into new TSXV-listed copper explorer
Kodiak Copper signed a non-binding letter of intent with Teck Resources and Kay Copper to form a US-focused copper exploration company that will combine Kodiak’s Mohave project and Teck’s Copper Hill into a NewCo aiming to list on the TSX Venture Exchange. Under the proposal Kodiak and Teck would each receive 20 million NewCo shares at C$0.34 per share and NewCo plans a concurrent financing to raise at least $2.9m; Kay Copper will amalgamate with NewCo and seek the TSXV listing. The transaction requires regulatory approvals and due diligence, is targeted to close in Q3 2026, and would likely leave Kodiak and Teck with about 28% ownership each; completion is not guaranteed and Teck expects offtake rights in future concentrate subject to definitive agreements. » More on finance.yahoo.com
