Lazard bets on infrastructure instead of AI

Lazard portfolio manager Bertrand Cliquet is deliberately investing his Global Listed Infrastructure Portfolio in regulated utilities, toll roads and radio towers rather than in the AI and data-center boom. About half of the roughly $12 billion portfolio is in Europe, with holdings such as National Grid, Exelon and American Tower, which offer long-term predictable returns through concession agreements and regulation. Lazard: assets under management rise in July to 286.9 billion USD

Lazard reports preliminary assets under management of about 286.9 billion USD as of July 31, compared with 284.7 billion USD at the end of June. The increase resulted from 1.5 billion USD in market value gains, 0.4 billion USD in net inflows and 0.4 billion USD in positive currency effects. Equity assets rose to 216.2 billion USD, fixed income remained at about 35.0 billion USD, multi-asset to 24.6 billion USD and alternative assets to 11.1 billion USD. Lazard Asset Management appoints Chris Bricker as head of corporate development and TP Enders as head of product

Lazard Asset Management has appointed Chris Bricker from AllianceBernstein as head of corporate development; he will report to CEO Chris Hogbin and is to drive strategic growth initiatives. Theodore P. "TP" Enders joins from Goldman Sachs Asset Management and, as head of product, will further develop the global product strategy and product platform across investment strategies and distribution channels, reporting to COO Rosalie Berman.
