Liontrust has appointed Martin Gilbert to its board with immediate effect. Gilbert will join the board after the completion of the acquisition of River Global Holdings and will be a member of all committees. Liontrust has announced the acquisition of River Global Holdings, the parent company of the investment manager of the India Capital Growth Fund, subject to shareholder and UK financial regulator approval. Once completed, the asset management business will be integrated into Liontrust’s active equity strategies division and continued under the Liontrust brand. The investment team responsible for the fund, led by Gaurav Narain, will remain unchanged and continue to operate from Mumbai and London; the fund will gain access to expanded resources and global distribution capabilities. » More on de.investing.com
