  • Mazda MX-5 for 2027: 1.5‑litre more powerful, 2.0‑litre dropped in Europe

    Mazda gives the MX‑5 for the 2027 model year a power increase for the 1.5‑litre engine (100 kW instead of 97 kW, 155 Nm) and slightly reduces combined WLTP consumption to 6.1 l/100 km. The previously offered 2.0‑litre four‑cylinder is being dropped in Europe for fleet consumption reasons. The sportier Homura trim gains a Bilstein sport suspension, strut brace and 16‑inch wheels as standard; the new special edition Yakudo is based on Homura with specific design details. A driver attention assistant (DAA) will be fitted from the factory, production starts in October 2026, and prices in Germany start at €34,190 (Roadster) and €36,990 (RF). » More on heise.de


  • Mazda increases North American sales in June by 11.3% and records best June

    Mazda North American Operations reported 37,167 vehicles sold in June, up 11.3% versus June 2025 and the highest June sales in company history. Year-to-date sales stand at 201,834 vehicles, 4% below last year; on a daily selling-rate basis, June growth was 6.9% due to an extra selling day. The CX-90 MHEV and CX-70 MHEV each achieved their best June sales, certified pre-owned vehicle sales rose 24.7% to 6,776 units. Mazda Motor de Mexico sold 9,328 vehicles in June (+31%); cumulative Mexico sales year-to-date are 52,010 vehicles (+4.2%). » More on de.investing.com


  • Mazda selects PTC's Codebeamer to drive software-defined vehicle development

    Mazda will adopt PTC's Codebeamer Application Lifecycle Management platform to standardize requirements, testing and validation for its transition to software-defined vehicle development. The platform offers safety-critical development workflows, traceability between model-based data and validation results, and consolidation of dispersed documentation to improve cross-team alignment.
