Mincon increases half-year revenue by 19%: construction sector drives growth

The Irish rock-drilling tool maker Mincon reports H1 revenue of €87.8m, up 19% year on year, and a net profit of €6.8m after €0.7m in the prior year. The main growth driver was the construction business, with revenue rising 23%, notably in North America due to a large project; mining recorded revenue growth of 18%. EBITDA was €13.8m, gross profit €26.8m and operating profit €9.3m. The company was formerly known as Manrock plc and changed its name to Mincon Group plc in September 2013. Mincon Group plc was founded in 1977 and is headquartered in Shannon, Ireland.
