Mowi: Q3 operating EBIT €112m — strong Consumer Products business offsets weaker spot prices

Mowi reports an operating EBIT of €112m for Q3 in its trading update, slightly below the Bloomberg consensus and well under KECH’s estimates. Global farming costs fell to €5.42/kg, and net interest-bearing liabilities were around €1,760m. Harvest volumes exceeded the forecast by 4% — driven by Canada and Iceland — although Canada showed an operating EBIT of −€2/kg due to biological issues. Mowi boosts revenue to record, operating profit falls sharply

Mowi posted a record revenue of €1.39 billion in the second quarter but suffered from lower salmon prices and high costs, causing operating profit to fall 19% to €189 million. Production rose 21% to 133,000 tonnes; Mowi raised its full-year volume guidance to 545,000 tonnes and is targeting 600,000 tonnes by 2026.
