Mulberry grants CEO Andrea Baldo options on 1.5 million ordinary shares
Mulberry has announced that CEO Andrea Baldo was granted, free of charge under the Performance Share Plan 2017, options on 1,500,000 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 5 pence per share. The options are subject to corporate performance targets and can be exercised after audited annual accounts: 1,000,000 options in 2028 and 500,000 options in 2029. Mulberry halves loss in first half thanks to turnaround strategy
The Mulberry Group reduced its pre-tax loss in the first half to £6.9m versus £15.7m a year earlier; the adjusted loss fell to £7.4m. Group revenue dropped 4% to £53.9m, while wholesale sales rose 36% and like-for-like retail sales grew 4%. Gross margin improved to 69% and operating costs fell 16% thanks to cost reductions.
