Nufarm increases profit and margin despite declining revenues
Nufarm reports a marked improvement in profitability for H1 2026: net profit after tax rose 35% to 52 million AUD, adjusted EBITDA climbed 18% to 243 million AUD, and the gross profit margin reached 33.1%, its highest level in 20 years. Revenue declined for strategic reasons, while a better product mix in crop protection, strong hybrid seed growth and improved Omega‑3 results boosted margins. Net debt to adjusted EBITDA fell from 4.5x to 3.6x, and Nufarm expects further rising free cash flow, lower capex (below 200 million AUD) and additional debt reduction. Risks remain from supply‑chain disruptions, commodity price and currency volatility, and regulatory changes. » More on de.investing.com
Nufarm confirms H1 2026 EBITDA guidance in line with expectations
Nufarm announces an EBITDA range of $236–244 million for the first half of 2026, which aligns with the consensus of around $240 million. Net debt is about $1.23 billion and the leverage ratio is 3.6x. The company reports stable supply chains, continued positive demand, and that cost increases from the Middle East conflict have been managed. Analysts noted that lower farmer profitability is putting pressure on crop protection markets; EPS estimates for 2026 were raised from $0.04 to $0.07, while revenue forecasts changed little. » More on de.investing.com
