Pennon under pressure as brokers flag high gearing ahead of September update

RBC and UBS warn Pennon carries higher net debt than peers and face a balance sheet decision at a strategic update in September. RBC cut its target to 575p and says roughly £200m of measures would rebase gearing to peer levels, while UBS warns gearing could reach 70% by 2030 without action.
