American Signature declares bankruptcy and will close stores in 14 states

American Signature, parent of American Signature Furniture and Value City Furniture, filed for bankruptcy and announced closures at numerous locations across 14 states. The company operates 120 physical stores and says it hopes to restructure and sell assets to stalking-horse bidder ASI Purchaser LLC, but many outlets will enter liquidation sales through January 2026. Signature Healthcare wins Shasta County backing for $200 million True North behavioral health campus

Shasta County Health and Human Services Director Christy Coleman and Supervisor Chris Kelstrom reversed earlier opposition and formally supported the $200 million True North Behavioral Health Campus. Signature Healthcare, as lead applicant, and partner Arch Collaborative have applied for a state grant to build the regional campus on a 20-acre Shasta Lake site, with the state decision expected in spring.
