Annual loss weighs on Star Entertainment share despite EBITDA improvement

Star Entertainment reported a net loss of A$307m for the fiscal year to 30 June 2026, prompting a fall in the share price. Normalised revenue fell 2.2% to A$1.10bn and gaming revenue declined 5.3%, driven particularly by weak performance in Sydney and regulatory restrictions. The normalised EBITDA loss narrowed substantially from A$76.2m to A$16.1m; additionally, Bally’s secured a A$300m equity stake and a parent guarantee of A$700m was lifted.
