Stingray Group misses adjusted EPS despite strong revenue growth

For Q1 of fiscal 2027, Stingray Group reported revenue of around 158 million (strong growth driven by the TuneIn acquisition), beating forecasts but missing adjusted earnings per share of 0.40 versus an expected 0.456. The adjusted EBITDA margin fell to 31.8% and net debt rose to 547.6 million, bringing margin pressure and higher leverage into focus for investors. Stingray buys back 1 million shares from La Caisse for C$15.4 million

Stingray agreed to repurchase 1,000,000 shares from CDP Investissements (La Caisse) at C$15.40 per share (C$15.4 million total), financed from cash. The price is 5.1% below the last closing price; the transaction is off-exchange and will not be counted toward the ongoing buyback limit. La Caisse is simultaneously selling 2,300,000 subordinate voting and variable voting shares in a block trade, but remains a significant shareholder with just under 10%. Stingray Group misses Q4 2026 forecasts and reports large net loss
