  • Suzuki brings new Across generation with 129 km electric range

Suzuki will introduce the revised Across generation in October, which is technically almost unchanged and adopts the hybrid drive and many components from the Toyota RAV4. The plug-in hybrid combines a 150 kW electric motor at the front with a 105 kW combustion engine and a rear motor of up to 40 kW; the combined system output is 227 kW. The 22.7-kWh battery enables a WLTP range of 129 km, charges three-phase up to 11 kW or by DC at 50 kW, and combined petrol consumption is stated as 5.4 l/100 km. The Across comes with limited equipment options and a list price of €55,490. » More on heise.de

  • Suzuki brings SV-7 GX to market with proven 645 cc V2 and low price

Suzuki unveils the crossover bike SV-7 GX, which surprisingly uses the old 645 cc 90‑degree V2 from the SV 650 instead of the new 776/800 cc inline twin. The model shares many components with the SV 650 but adds new bodywork, a TFT display, quickshifter, three riding modes and improved touring comfort, with a likely price below €9,000. With a larger tank and practical equipment, Suzuki aims to revive weak sales; the brand recorded a 37.5% drop in new registrations through October. » More on heise.de

  • Suzuki unveils GSX-8T and GSX-8TT as independent retro models

Suzuki has introduced two new retro motorcycles, the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT, which are based on the GSX-8S and feature unique designs along with modern technology. Both models are equipped with an 83-horsepower two-cylinder engine, weigh just over 200 kg, and offer various design and color highlights. However, the ambitious pricing compared to the base version may raise questions about value for money. » More on heise.de
