Telo Genomics files provisional US patent application for blood-based myeloma MRD test

Telo Genomics has filed a provisional US patent application for a TeloView biomarker algorithm designed to determine minimal residual disease (MRD) in multiple myeloma from liquid biopsies and predict relapse risk. The filing also covers a workflow for isolating circulating cancer cells from peripheral blood; existing patent protection for TeloView runs until 2043. The company is running a study with the University of Athens to compare liquid-biopsy MRD results with EuroFlow, but notes that provisional applications do not guarantee eventual patents. Telo Genomics raises private placement of convertible notes to $1.6m

Telo Genomics has increased the size of an unbrokered private placement of secured convertible notes from $1.2m to $1.6m. The notes carry a 15% annual interest rate, mature on December 15, 2026, and can be converted prior to maturity at $0.05 per share; early repayment by the company is excluded. For every $100,000 of convertible notes issued, 2,000,000 detachable warrants will be issued, exercisable within 12 months at $0.08. A first tranche brought in $840,000; additional tranches of up to $760,000 are to be placed by no later than March 6, 2026, with net proceeds to be used for working capital.
