    Thomson Reuters is embedding Anthropic’s AI model Claude into its legal platform CoCounsel Legal via the “Model Context Protocol,” allowing users to switch seamlessly between Claude and CoCounsel workflows. The next‑generation version uses the Claude Agent SDK and can plan workflows, choose tools, and dynamically retrieve content. CoCounsel accesses 1.9 billion Westlaw/Practical Law documents and 1.4 billion KeyCite validity signals and provides a source list for traceability; according to the company, customer data is not used to train external models.
