  • AVI demands removal of two Wacom directors over governance shortcomings

Asset Value Investors (AVI), Wacom’s largest shareholder with a 13.8% stake, has filed shareholder proposals seeking the removal of executive director Ide and external director Nakajima ahead of the June annual general meeting. AVI criticizes weak corporate governance, citing the acquisition of a loss-making company for more than $10m, Nakajima’s subsequent move into an internal director role, and alleged mixing of private and corporate interests by Ide with favoritism toward his children. AVI is also calling for the appointment of an external director and has released additional campaign materials; Wacom’s Branded Business has reported losses since the fiscal year ending March 2023 and growth has stalled despite restructuring. » More on de.investing.com

The thinner design has smaller bezels and ships with a battery‑free Wacom One Standard Pen and USB‑C cable, but requires a connected PC, Mac, or Chromebook and lacks advanced touch gestures.
