Wagners reports strong growth in 2026, shares fall despite solid numbers

Wagners reported a 16% revenue increase to 500.1m AUD for fiscal 2026, an underlying EBIT of 67.2m AUD (+53%) and a net profit after tax of 40.5m AUD (+78.4%). Net debt fell to 0.8m AUD and the company announced an annual dividend of 0.05 AUD per share. Management expects further growth in 2027 from new concrete plants and expansion of CFT capacity, but warned of pressure on cement margins from clinker and freight costs as well as high capital expenditure. Russia pressures Central African Republic to replace Wagner with Africa Corps and pay for services

Russia has asked the Central African Republic to replace the Wagner mercenary group with the state-run Africa Corps and to pay for continued security services. The Central African Republic is reluctant, preferring Wagner's effectiveness and mineral-based payments over cash, while Russia insists on monetary compensation.
