Wells Fargo profit rises in Q3 as net interest income increases
Wells Fargo reported third-quarter net income of $5.59 billion, or $1.66 per share, up from $5.11 billion, or $1.42 a year earlier. Net interest income rose 2% year-over-year to $11.95 billion. Democratic senators urge Wells Fargo to end union-busting
A group of 15 Democratic senators led by Ruben Gallego demands in a letter to CEO Charlie Scharf that Wells Fargo stop its campaign against employees’ union organizing. The senators write that the bank has become increasingly aggressive toward workers trying to form unions in several states and cited six unfair labor practice charges filed this year with the National Labor Relations Board.
