  • Wynnstay expands fertiliser blending capacity in Montrose, Scotland

Wynnstay has signed a long‑term lease for a larger production facility on Barrack Road in Montrose and has awarded the contract for a new fertiliser blending plant. The sale of the existing site on Cobden Street is intended to partly finance the reinvestment. The new plant will double Glasson Fertilisers’ blending capacity in Montrose and is expected to be fully operational in the first half of the 2027 financial year. The total investment targets a return on net assets of at least 10% and is part of the growth strategy Strategy Genesis. » More on de.investing.com

  • Wynnstay Properties: major shareholder objects to authority to issue up to 5% of shares

A shareholder with about 11.9% holding, Gareth J. Gibson, has lodged an objection under section 314 of the UK Companies Act against resolutions 11 and 12 to be voted on at the AGM. Gibson criticizes the potential dilution for the numerous, illiquid small-shareholder base and considers the authorization unnecessary because no specific transaction is currently planned and the company is arranging financing facilities of up to £20m. The board recommends a yes vote and stresses that the requested 5% authorization (157,763 shares, roughly £1.36m at 860p) is well below institutional guideline limits and would also be used for asset acquisitions; similar authorizations have not been used since 2017. » More on de.investing.com

  • Wynnstay boosts profit through efficiency programme Project Genesis

Wynnstay reports first-half revenue of £304.10m and a near 10% rise in adjusted operating profit to £5.80m. The company attributes the improvement to the efficiency programme Project Genesis, which reduced costs and strengthened commercial execution; adjusted earnings per share rose 15.5%. The feed & grain division benefited from the GrainLink trading platform and closures of loss-making units, while arable farming saw higher fertiliser sales. Wynnstay raised the interim dividend and expects full-year results in line with market forecasts and an improvement versus 2025, supported by a large fertiliser order book. » More on de.investing.com
