Xaar reaches profit zone in first half of 2026 and improves margins
Xaar posted an adjusted pre-tax profit of £0.2m in H1 2026 after a £0.7m loss a year earlier, with like-for-like revenue growth of 9.2%. Gross margin rose by 220 basis points, printhead revenue grew 5.5% and Megnajet increased by 27%. The company remains committed to a more diversified product mix but recorded an adjusted free cash flow outflow of £4.3m. Xaar: printhead division grows 22% in 2025 after breakthrough in 3D wax printing
Xaar reports 2025 group revenue of £60.1m (+12%) and a marked improvement in margins. The printhead division was the main driver with sales up 22% to £43.0m, supported by higher printhead and Printbar sales and an adjusted segment EBIT of £5.7m. Xaar discovers overseas tax liability of £3–4 million
Xaar has identified previously unknown tax liabilities of around £3–4 million in a foreign jurisdiction. The obligations date from the past and are expected to be settled within the next two years; Xaar says it is well capitalised to make the payments. The company does not expect any impact on ongoing operations and is leaving the board’s forecasts for the year ending 31 December 2025 unchanged.
