Yamaha reported Q1 2026 revenue of ¥103.9 billion (-7.4%) and a core operating profit of ¥4.7 billion (-49.2%); net profit fell to ¥2.4 billion (-74.7%). Weighing on results were the yen’s appreciation, additional U.S. tariffs (negative impact of ¥1.8 billion) and an unfavorable sales and production mix (−¥2.7 billion). Both musical instruments and audio equipment posted declining sales and saw their profit contributions halved, while the Other segment grew only slightly.
