Rosenbauer boosts revenue and EBIT significantly and targets further growth in 2026
Rosenbauer increased revenue in the first half of 2026 by 3.5% to €625.9 million, and EBIT nearly tripled to €20.4 million. Order intake rose slightly to €717.8 million; especially Europe and Middle East & Africa recorded gains. The company expects revenue of up to €1.6 billion for 2026 and an EBIT margin of over 6%, but sees risks from geopolitical tensions and supply chain disruptions (including effects of the Strait of Hormuz ~€8 million). The persistently high demand stems from wildfires and the need to protect civilian infrastructure after attacks in the Middle East. » More on kurier.at
Rosenbauer presents first battery-electric aerial ladder
In cooperation with MAN, Rosenbauer has developed the first battery-electric aerial ladder and handed it over to the Institut der Feuerwehr Nordrhein-Westfalen in early June. The vehicle weighs under 16 tonnes, has two battery packs totaling 178 kWh, typically enables up to ten operations without recharging, and can be charged from 5 to 80 percent in 33 minutes at 250 kW. Electric vehicles are expected to offer lower operating costs, reduced maintenance and quieter on-scene communication; according to Rosenbauer, the higher procurement costs for the chassis pay off over 20–30 years. Demand is already coming from Switzerland, the Benelux countries and Scandinavia, but the electric share of revenue is currently still below five percent. » More on kurier.at
Rosenbauer back on track with record sales and doubled earnings
Rosenbauer posted a record revenue of €1.43 billion last year and increased profit for the period by 82.2% to €54.3 million; profit before tax was €54.7 million and the EBIT margin was 5.9%. The order backlog stands at €2.35 billion, the equity ratio rose to 27.8%, and management is targeting revenue of €1.6 billion for 2026 with an EBIT margin of more than 6%. The company sees little impact from geopolitical tensions, produces locally in the US and continues to focus on civilian protection solutions rather than the arms business. » More on kurier.at
