CEL-SCI starts global registration trial of Multikine in head and neck tumors

CEL-SCI has begun a global, registration‑relevant confirmatory trial of Multikine as a neoadjuvant treatment for resectable, locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinomas. About 212 patients in the US, Europe, Asia and South America are expected to participate; Orient EuroPharma is leading and funding recruitment in Taiwan. Earlier phase‑3 data showed a 5‑year overall survival rate of 73% in the target cohort versus 45% with standard therapy. Multikine has orphan drug designation but is not approved. CEL-SCI agrees partnership with Amarox for Multikine distribution in Saudi Arabia

CEL-SCI has entered a partnership with Amarox to pursue regulatory approval and potential commercialisation of Multikine in Saudi Arabia, with an option to expand to the Gulf states. After the SFDA grants Breakthrough Medicine Designation, the partners will split net proceeds from Saudi sales equally; Amarox will lead the local regulatory process and, upon approval, receive exclusive sales rights for head and neck cancers. CEL-SCI retains all IP, manufacturing and global rights to Multikine; the option covers Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the UAE.
