China Automotive Systems raises annual guidance after strong H1 growth
China Automotive Systems reported H1 2026 revenue up 20.1% to $412.5 million and diluted EPS of $0.97, nearly double year‑on‑year. Gross margin rose 330 basis points to 21.5% and operating profit doubled, driven by a 32.2% revenue increase in electrical power steering (EPS), which accounted for 46.8% of sales. China Automotive Systems recorded a net revenue increase of 21.4% to USD 229.2 million in the fourth quarter of 2025 and a net profit attributable to shareholders of USD 18.4 million, more than double the prior year (EPS USD 0.61 vs. USD 0.30). China Automotive Systems starts serial production of steering motors with more than 20 N·m
China Automotive Systems will start serial production of a new steering motor on the 115 platform in mid-December; the Hyoseong subsidiary has entered the final commissioning of the production line. The motor delivers more than 20 N·m of torque, was developed in three years, built jointly with Wiselink, and has passed tests and verifications at around ten leading OEMs. The component is intended to support the eRCB commercial vehicle program and opens up growth opportunities in global commercial vehicle markets.
