Metaplanet stock jumps double digits after Bitcoin rally

Bitcoin climbed back above $75,000, driving Metaplanet shares in Tokyo up about 19.8%. Metaplanet announced a transaction in which over Metaplanet Holdings 2,100 Bitcoin and $2.5 million will be invested in Super League Enterprise; in return Metaplanet will receive 44,859,400 common shares as well as preferred shares and warrants. After the planned name change to Superplanet and the expected closing in Q4 2026, Metaplanet would hold around 95.7% of the common shares; completion still depends on shareholder and regulatory approvals. Metaplanet reports strong revenue rise but net loss per share

Metaplanet recorded a revenue increase of 434.33% to USD 28.5 million in the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2025, yet earnings per share fell to -USD 1.00 from USD 0.16 a year earlier. For the full fiscal year, revenue was USD 59.53 million (+749.22%) and EPS was -USD 0.88 versus USD 0.15 in the prior year.
