    Shaftesbury Capital set the exchange rate for the 2026 interim dividend at 21.9534 ZAR per 1 GBP. The interim dividend is 2.2 pence per ordinary share and will be paid on 23 September 2026 to shareholders on the register on 28 August 2026. Shareholders on the South African register will receive a cash dividend of 48.29748 ZAR cents per share (38.63798 ZAR cents after 20% UK withholding tax); if South African dividend tax of 20% is applied the net payment is 28.97848 ZAR cents. The distribution is fully classified as a Property Income Distribution (PID); certain shareholders may be exempt from UK withholding tax or able to claim reduced South African withholding tax rates, and South African shareholders may claim from HMRC a refund of the difference to the DTA rate of 15%. » More on de.investing.com

    Shaftesbury Capital reports a 14% increase versus prior passing rents and has completed 367 lettings this year generating additional rent of £30.2m p.a. The frictional vacancy rate is only 2.6% of ERV, with a further 1.5% under negotiation, leaving the portfolio effectively fully let. The company invested £80m in acquisitions, secured a £300m revolving credit facility and repaid a £200m loan, bringing the loan-to-value ratio down to 17%.
