Sasol reported adjusted EBITDA up 17% to ZAR 61 billion and free cash flow of ZAR 11.9 billion for fiscal 2026, citing improved Southern African operations, cost discipline and stronger refining margins. Net debt fell 11% to $3.3 billion and the company aims to reduce it below $3 billion by fiscal 2027–2028, a threshold for resuming dividends. Capital expenditure declined 18% to ZAR 21 billion and Sasol plans further sustainable scope and cost reductions, while International Chemicals delivered higher earnings but still faces structural oversupply and weak demand. The company also expanded renewable-energy capacity and reiterated priorities on safety, operational reliability and deleveraging. » More on finance.yahoo.com

  • Sasol to invest €60 million in expanding alumina production in Brunsbüttel

Sasol will invest €60 million at its Brunsbüttel site to increase capacity for spherical, high-purity and ultra-high-purity alumina. The project, for which all building permits are in place, focuses on catalyst carriers, energy optimizations and process improvements; a general contractor is to be selected in June and commissioning is planned for around 2029. The expansion is expected to reduce the CO2 footprint per tonne by up to 15% and strengthen Sasol’s position in high-performance materials. » More on de.investing.com
