Carbios reaches 100 batches with Fiber-to-Fiber and will target textile market via licensing
Carbios reports 100 successful batches in its demonstration plant using the Fiber-to-Fiber biorecycling technology and, according to a press release, achieved a conversion rate of more than 95 percent within 24 hours on complex textile waste. The company is expanding its licensing offering, previously focused on packaging, to the global textile market and points to studies showing roughly 67 million tonnes of PET polyester fibers are used annually in textile applications. Despite the milestone framed as a success, investors remain cautious due to repeated delays in the past and difficulties with partner Wankai. » More on deraktionaer.de
Carbios close to finalizing project financing for Longlaville plant
Carbios reports constructive talks to set the extensive financing for the planned recycling plant in Longlaville; investors respond with a share price gain. Construction costs are expected to be €230 million, €42.5 million will be publicly financed, and the remainder will be covered by non-bank debt, investments from French partners and an equity contribution from Carbios. As a result, Carbios could become a minority shareholder, avoiding consolidation effects; commissioning is planned for the first half of 2028. At the end of 2025 the company had €60 million in cash, sufficient for about twelve months of operations. » More on deraktionaer.de
