CEO change at Albemarle: Ragnar Udd to become president and CEO, shares fall
Albemarle announced that Ragnar Udd (currently chief commercial officer at BHP) will become president and CEO on February 1, 2027; current chairman and CEO Kent Masters will serve as executive chairman until the 2027 annual meeting. The announcement triggered an immediate negative market reaction, with the stock falling about 1.7% in the morning and materially underperforming the broader market. Analyst sentiment remains cautious; JPMorgan has already cut its price target from $160 to $140 while keeping its rating at neutral. Until Udd’s strategic priorities for the lithium and specialty chemicals business become clearer, the stock could remain under short-term pressure. » More on de.investing.com
