Dow weighs sale of 35% stake in Sadara to ease financial strain

Dow is considering selling its 35% stake in Sadara, the $20 billion joint venture with Saudi Aramco, to reduce a persistent financial drag and improve cash flexibility. As of June 30 Dow had a negative investment balance of $793 million in Sadara and has suspended recognition of its share of the venture's equity losses, while also being exposed to Sadara's financing obligations.
