MacroGenics rises after Gilead exercises $10 million option
MacroGenics shares rose about 4.3% in after-hours trading after Gilead Sciences exercised an option on a preclinical bispecific program and paid $10 million. Gilead obtains an exclusive license for the TRIDENT-platform–based program, which targets two structures in solid tumors. MacroGenics sells manufacturing business to Bora for $122.5 million
MacroGenics has sold its manufacturing division for pharmaceutical active ingredients to Bora for $122.5 million, equivalent to about 65% of MacroGenics' current market capitalization. The transaction includes the FDA‑certified plant in Rockville (11,000‑liter capacity) and a warehouse in Frederick, and is expected to transfer roughly 140 employees to Bora. MacroGenics retains access to manufacturing capacity through a supply agreement to support its product pipeline and plans to use the proceeds to accelerate the pipeline toward key milestones in 2026. MacroGenics resumes recruitment for lorigerlimab phase 2 study after FDA lifts partial hold
The FDA has lifted the partial clinical hold on the phase 2 LINNET study of lorigerlimab, allowing MacroGenics to restart recruitment under a revised protocol with additional risk-mitigation measures for hematologic and cardiac toxicities. So far 41 women have received the investigational drug; the study is expected to enroll up to about 60 women with platinum‑resistant ovarian cancer or clear‑cell gynecologic carcinoma.
